Reference Books

Reference materials may be available to you in several ways. The table columns below indicate that:

  • PUR - I have located a place to PURCHASE the book.
  • LIB - I have located the book in a LIBRARY.
  • ARC - Resource material has been uploaded into the USGenWeb ARCHIVES.
  • LOOKUP - Someone has volunteered to do LIMITED LOOKUPS from this resource. USGenWeb Copyright Policy

    • Limit your request to one name per message.
    • Put CHESTERFIELD CO. LOOKUP in the subject line of your request to insure the message is not overlooked.
    • In the first line of the message, put the name of the book from which you are requesting the lookup.
    • Don't forget to thank your volunteer for his or her time.

Just a development note -- the Archives column would link to the archived material. The items for purchase would be linked to a file telling how to purchase (or to the homepage of the publisher, such as Family Tree Maker). The library books would tell what library the book was found in. The Lookups column is just like the normal lookups column. Not all these links are actually operational though.
