Jason Moore Senr.

Jason Moore Junr

May 8th 1795
This indenture made the second day of May in the year or our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety five, & in the nineteenth year of American Independence. Between Jason Moore Senr. of the County of Spartanburgh & State of South Carolina of the one part and Jason Moore Junr. (son of Jason Moore) of the County and State aforesaid of the other part; Witnesseth, that the said Jason Moore Senr for & in consideration of Thirty pounds Sterling to him in hand paid by the said Jason Moore Junr. at and before the unsealing and deliver of these presents, he Receipt whereof the said Jason Moore Senr. Do hereby acknowledge. Have Granted Bargained, Aliened, Released, and Confirmed, and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien release & confirm unto Jason Moore Junr. In his actual possession now being by virtue of a bargain & sale to him forever thereof from the day of the date hereof and by force of the Statute for transferring use into possession and to his heirs and assignees forever. All that tract or parcel of Land, containing in the whole Two Hundred acres more or less (by two different surveys) lying and being in the State and County aforesaid, on Wards branch the waters of Tyger River, bounding Easterly on Currys land, he other sides on vacant land, Granted by his Excellency William Bull Esq. Lieut. Governor and Commander in Chief in & over the province of South Carolina, the patent bearing date the seventeenth day of March Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and twenty –five having such shape from & marks as are represented by a plat thereunto annexed doth represent, reference thereof unto will appear, and the other Tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on Wards branch bounced on all sides by vacant land. Granted by his Excellency William Bull Esq. Lieut. Governor & Commander in Chief in & over the province of South Carolina, The patent bearing date the fourth day of May Anno Dimini one thousand seven hundred and seventy five. The first mentioned tract of one hundred acres of land, conveyed to the said Jason Moore Sen. By Alexander Peden & Rebekah his wife, the deed bearing dates the twenty third day of July Anno Dimini one thousand seven hundred and Ninety, & the other tract or parcel of land also containing one hundred acres & conveyed to the said Jason Moore Senr. By William Peden and Mary his wife, the deed bearing date the thirteenth day of August Anno Domini one thousand and seven hundred and ninety. Together with all houses, out houses, buildings, woods, underwoods, paths, passages, waters, water causes, said appurtenances whatsoever to the said tract or parcel of land belonging or appertaining to the ___ & the revisions, remainder & remainders duly ____ & profits of all & singular the said premises with their and every of their appurtenances, & also all the Estate, rights letters interest claims and demands whatsoever both in law and Equity of him the said Jason Moore, of in and to the same in part and parcel thereof with their appurtenances. To have and to hold, all and singular the said tract and parcels of land, heredeiments, premises and appurtenances above mentioned & every part thereof, unto the said Jason Moore Jun. His heirs & assigns to eh only proper use benefit & behoof of the said Jason Moore Junr. His heirs and assigns forever. And lastly the said Jason Moore Senr. His heirs and assigns the premises and every part thereof with their appurtenances from and against all person claiming or to claim the premises by from or under the said Jason Moore shall and will warrant to the said Jason Moore Junr. His heirs & assignees and hereby forever defend.
