The Pickens Chapter had
the pleasure in 1920 of presenting to MRS. ALZARA FOSTER a
bar of gold from the Confederated Southern Memorial
Association and a silver cup as the gift of the Chapter.
MRS. FOSTER is now ninety-seven years old, and has three
sons living who were in the Confederate army. She is called a " Gold
Star Confederate Mother".
