Re her trip to this cemetery,
Linda wrote:
"We had to go down the driveway of one of the homes, through his backyard
to reach the "road" that leads to the cemetery. If we had not been in
my husband's Bronco with 4-wheel drive we would have never made it. The
road was overgrown with weeds taller than the truck and the mud was
unbelievable.
The cemetery is in horrible condition. Tombstones broken, sunken graves
some as much as 2 or 3 feet and completely overgrown. I made a list of
most of the graves but several of the graves had wood markers and were
rotten so I was not able to make out the names or dates. I also had to
bypass some of the graves because of the danger involved in getting to
them as they were so sunken."
