  • BROWN - Chanel Cordell, 4/18/05
Georgia Hilliard BROWN is my gr-gr-grandmother who died January 21, 1966 in Cheraw, Chesterfield, SC.  I believe that she was married to her 2nd husband, last name of Brown, but have no additional information.  She was buried in her hometown of Dodge County, Rhine Georgia at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  There is a marker at her grave next to her headstone that has the name of the funeral home that handled her arrangement, Stubbs Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.  She died in the Chesterfield County Hospital.  her sons were Herbert and Manly Hilliard.  I am contacting vital records for her death certificate but would appreciate a newspaper obituary and possibly the "Brown" connection in Cheraw.  Thank you.

  • McFARLAND - Tom Talbert, 4/18/05
In response to a 2000 Query that does not have accurent email address to respond to, from Linda Roy:  My g-grandfather Michael Talbert was married to a Margaret Elizabeth McFARLAND, in 1841 by Rev. Hugh Craig.  They were enumerated in the 1850 Census at Chesterfield Court House Twp.  His name was listed as Micassa Talbert, which could have been the enumerator's understanding of Michael Cagey (or perhaps for some other reason.) Thank you.
